Following is a copy of Joint Circular No. 2 which details the regular freight and coal trains, their schedules and the work they perform. While not exactly copying the layout, it is verbatim, including typos. The phrase "via" appears to refer to cars moving off-line to another railroad at a particular station, such as via D&H at Sidney. "Ms" refers to tonnage in train, usually measured in 1000 pound increments.

ALL CONCERNED:   Effective at once freight and coal trains will be made up and
perform work as follows, all previous conflicting instructions being canceled:

Train WA-1
Weehawken to Oswego, daily

Handles cars from Weehawken and connections via. Any cars for Campbell hall or via vill be brought to Middletown. At Middletown will be made up with cars for Cadosia, Walton, Sidney and Norwich and north; Walton cars to be cut at Cadosia for forwarding in wayfreight. Cars for Sidney and via will be taken to Sidney. At Cadosia fill with cars for D&H via Sidney, and cars for Norwich and north, including connections. Conductor will wire Yardmaster at Cadosia from Summitville number of cars and actual Ms for north of Cadosia. North of Norwich handles cars for Oneida, Fulton, Arrowhead and Oswego.

Middletown to Mayfield Yard Trains

Trains will leave as business warrants; generally about 11:00 a.m., 6:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.

All except the one that picks up at Summitville will be made up at Middletown with cars for Mayfield Yard and cars for Cadosia and north. Will not pick up or cut out enroute except at Cadosia, or as specially instructed. The one that picks up at Summitville will pick up only cars for Cadosia and north, including Scranton Division.

Middletown to Cadosia

Lv   Middletown about 2:30 a.m., daily.

Leave Middletown as soon as possible after WA-1. From Middletown handles cars for Summitville, Liberty, Livingston Manor, including cars for points Roscoe to Fish's Eddy, inclusive. At Summitville picks up cars for points Livingston Manor to Fish's Eddy, inclusive. Cars for D&N via East Branch will be cut at East Branch. At Livingston Manor fillwith cars for Cadosia and north. Will not place any cars, except live stock and perishable, for unloading, unless specially instructed.

Train SU-1
Scranton to Utica, daily

From Scranton handles all freight for Mayfield Yard and north. From Mayfield Yard, handles cars for Norwich and north, including connections cars for Cadosia to Weehawken, inclusive, including connections, and car for Cadosia to Sidney, inclusive, including connections. From Cadosia handles cars for D&H via Sidney, and for Norwich and north, including connections. At Sidney fill with north loads. From Norwich handles cars for Randallsville-Clinton, including Rome Branch and Utica.

Turn Crews

Will cut and pick up cars at Cornwall, Campbell Hall, Summitville, Livingston Manor, Walton and Sidney, only as required to adjust tonnage or to receive from or deliver cars to connecting foreign lines.

Train BL-1
Maybrook to Coxton, daily

Handles cars from New England via NYNH_H at Maybrook for western connections via LVRR at Coxton. If not enough of these to make a train, fill at Middletown with empties. Loaded cars for D&H via Sidney will be forwarded in this train to Cadosia and from that point in SU-1.

Train BO-1
Maybrook to Cayuga, daily

From Maybrook and Middletown handles merchandise cars for Binghamton and all cars for western connections Buffalo and west via Cayuga and DL&W. When tonnage permits loads for D&H via Sidney will be handled to Cadosia for forwarding in SU-1.

Cornwall to Middletown and return to Cornwall, Tuesdays and Fridays

Handles all cars and does the switching for stations in this territory, and loads and unloads L.C.L.

Turn Crew Cornwall to Middletown and return to Cornwall
Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays

On north trip handles all cars from Cornwall for Firthcliffe, Campbell Hall, Middletown and North. On South trip handles cars for Campbell Hall, L&H Burnside, Firthcliffe and Cornwall.

Coxton to Maybrook, daily

Handles cars from Coxton for New England points via Maybrook and NYNH&H.

Train OB-2
Cayuga to Maybrook, daily

Handles cars from Cayuga for New England points via Maybrook and NYNH&H, and live stock for Kingston via Summitville.

Train AW-2
Oswego to Weehawken, daily

Between Oswego and Norwich will handle through cars and others as directed by Superintendent or Yardmasters. From Norwich will handle cars for D&H at Sidney and for Cadosia and points south, except Scranton Division. At Sidney will pick up cars from D&H for Middletown and south. At Cadosia cut all cars except for Middletown and south, live stock and perishable, and pick up to full train for Middletown and south. Conductor will wire Yardmaster at Cadosia from Sidney number of cars and actual Ms for south of Cadosia. From Middletown will handle cars for Weehawken and via.

Train US-2
Utica to Scranton, daily

From Utica and Clinton handles freight for Randalsville and Norwich and south, and other cars as directed by Superintendent or Yardmasters. From Norwich handles cars for Scranton Division stations and connections, Carbondale and south. At Cadosia cut and pick up. At Carbondale cut cars for Erie Railroad only, and at Park Place for DL&W only. Other cars for Carbondale and local stations to Scranton will be cut at Mayfield Yard. At Jermyn [Transfer] cuts cars for D&H only.

Train MW-2
Middletown to Weehawken. daily.

Handles cars for Weehawken and via. Will pick up cars at Cornwall.

Train CM-2
Cadosia to Middletown, daily

Lv Cadosia about 7:00 p.m.

Leave Cadosia as soon as possible after arrival of Norwich wayfreight. Will cut and pick up cars at Liv. Manor and Summitville and cut cars for D&N only, at East Branch. [D&N is Delaware & Northern]

Mayfield Yard to Middletown

Lv Mayfield Yard as business warrants,
generally about 10:00am, 4 p.m. and 11.30 p.m., daily.

Will cut and pick up at Cadosia, Livingston Manor and Summitville to adjust tonnage, and will move from Mayfield Yard to Summitville freight for PJM&K District.

Lv Norwich about 5. a.m.

Handles cars for stations between Norwich and Cadosia, including New Berlin and Delhi Branches, and via D&H at Sidney. Does L.C.L. work between Sidney and Cadosia. Picks up south loads at Sidney.

All trains will pick up and cut out live stock, perishable and other cars at points not enumerated, as instructed by Yardmasters or by this office. If no other facility for placing live stock and other perishable they will place.
