From the Cortland Democrat of Cortland, NY Friday, September 29, 1876
The New York & Oswego Midland R.R. Co. will run a special train
from Cortland and stations on the Auburn branch to Philadelphia, on Monday, October 2nd,
to return on the 7th. Fare for the found trip, with lodging included, is $9; without
lodging, $6.50. Parties living on the line of the Auburn branch will take the regular
morning train, which leaves Cortland at 5:30 a.m., connecting with the special from Norwich,
for the Centennial. The train leaves Philadelphia at 7 p.m. Friday evening, and arrives in
Norwich in time for passengers to take the regular Saturday afternoon train home.
