From the Cortland Standard of Cortland, NY Tuesday, July 9, 1872
Auburn has lost the repair shops of the New York Central Railroad.
They are going to try to secure the repair shops of the Midland.
The new track of the Ithaca & Cortland Division of the
U.I.&E. R.R. Co., in this village, uniting with the Midland, was completed
last week, and the union of the two tracks perfected. A raised platform has
also been built from the track to the depot, thereby affording an easy and
convenient means of getting on or off the trains.
