The cut between Miller and North Main Streets, on the Auburn Branch,
is completed as is also the trestle work east from the canal bridge, nearly across the
old Fair Grounds, from east of where a fill connects the branch with the main line.
The bridge over Silver Street is of wood, but it is understood the company have agreed
to erect an iron structure in its place within five years.
The passenger depot in this village rapidly approaches completion.
Last week, the gas fixtures were put in by a company from Oswego, and the work of
putting on the slate roofing has commenced.
